I admit I fell back asleep for about 30 minutes, and when I awoke, I heard a strange sound. Chewing, but not on a bone or a rubber toy. A different sort of chewing...
I looked over to see this:
What? What are you looking at?
But I'm cuuuute!
Damage: One hollee Roller, one Premier leather leash [which isnt even mine! :(] and one Gentle Leader. Also, some blue material that I'm hoping is from a stuffed animal, since I don't recognize it.
From now on, this is where puppies go when I'm sleeping!
But I'm CUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE!!!!!
Sigh. He is sorta cute.
Have you tried tethering him to you while you sleep on the bed?
ReplyDeletewith one of these;

I make my own, the supplies & tools can be found at any hardware store - you can make them as long or heavy or light as you need to.
Hi Megan,
ReplyDeleteThanks. I do know about pet tethers. I also know about crates and keeping the $#%@ stuff off the floor so puppies don't eat it. Sigh. I really don't think he'd have been a problem if I wasn't silly enough to assume that he wouldn't destroy anything! I totally blame myself.
He's really not comfortable enough yet in close proximity to me for me to be comfortable tethering him to me on a bed. My bed is VERY VERY small, so that is part of it also. I hope he will get calmer and less skittish as time goes on, but for now, he still often darts into his crate for safety, and I would hate to impede on that.
Thank you though. Pet tethers are a great product, and almost chew proof!
Maybe associating the gentle leader with food wasn't such a good idea after all...
ReplyDeleteJust kidding, but I still think it's funny, considering the gentle leader/treats video!
Katharine,
ReplyDeleteLOL! I hadn't fully considered that. Maybe that's why he picked it? I expect he was just on a "I HATE PREMIER" kick and decided to ruin all their stuff :)
